The weather isn't going to be too bad this weekend. There will be some much needed rain (although not enough) and some dry weather around too.
The early stages of June are starting to look a little more mixed again, both the JMA and ECMWF starting to show some signals of this. We're updating Premium members on the chances of the mixed weather arriving as well as the usual details for the days, weeks and months ahead.

A shallow area of low pressure over Scotland on Saturday with an occluded front wrapped around the low. A weak ridge builds for England and Wales although fronts arrive in western Ireland in the afternoon, these passing east.
Cloud and outbreaks of showery rain affect much of western Scotland, north Wales, Northern Ireland and northwest England on Saturday morning. The rain edges north with drier weather following through northern England and Northern Ireland as well as north Wales.
Drier weather for the rest of England and Wales as well as Ireland with broken cloud and some bright spells. It should be staying dry over most of England and Wales throughout although rain crosses Ireland during the day, reaching SW Wales and SW England by the evening.
Winds S-SW 15-20kt (F4-F5) but 25kt (F6) in the west at times.

A front passes east overnight bringing a narrow band of showery rain to many, The front is likely to be over eastern Scotland and eastern England early on, this producing some early rain.
A weak ridge of high pressure builds from the west bringing drier and brighter weather for most. Scattered showers are likely in the west of Ireland and western Scotland, and there is a risk that some rain could linger in northeast Scotland until early afternoon.
Cloud increases across Ireland in the afternoon, this passing into Wales and southwest England. rain arrives in southern and western Ireland in the evening.
Winds becoming SW 15-20kt (F4-F5) but increasing SW 25-30kt (F6-F7) in southern Ireland, Wales and SW England later.
