Boom will extend but won't retract. Could this be electrical or hydraulic Anybody any ideas?

Has it git the auto setting to boom out as you lift? Does the switch work? Has the sensor/potentiometer on the back of the boom come loose?

There’s a potentiometer at back of boom but dies not sound like it’s the problem. Will it retract with boom right down? If not it shouldn’t be potentiometer and position related
