Weigh cells for farm trailers and grain drill hoppers?

Do some farm trailer makers list the option of weigh cells on trailers ?
Do grain drill manufacturers give the option of having grain drill hoppers supported on weigh cells?
I appreciateate weigh cells would be a no,no on split grain/ fertilizer hoppers.
If the above has been discussed before apologies for repetition.

I've always wondered about the drill thing (and I think it's been mentioned before) it's a seems very logical step and easy as just the same as fert spreaders surely? Even if it had to be static it would make calibration as you go far easier

Pretty sure that the Simba Centurion had weigh cells as an option, it could also text when it was nearly empty so your drill filler could be ready and waiting.

Most trailers are custom built and the bigger quality manufacturers would have fitted weigh cells in the past. Just ask.

That was my thinking and why mentioned it in my thread ,and my drilling days are behind me as semi retired.(y)

surely its just over complicating things, you know what weight you put in the drill, do a static calibration and away you go, all drills have had an acre meter for years so when drill is empty just check against acres drilled...adjust if needed

The trouble is now a days with 500/1000kg bags one can do
many ha’s ,before one know one calibration is out compared with putting so many 50kg bags of seed in to do so many ha’s.
Have a look at vaddy seed eye ,and horsch have similar , our amazon calibrate it put half ton in drill 2or what ever ha and it’s usually right ,rape ,or turnips etc can be twitchy but had a problem in one field last year ,it was battery in weighed was on its way out ,tend to know when low seed buzz goes off against ha ,and it did not ,recalibrated again and said was right ,put new battery in weigh and gave diff weight and ended up right with readjustment

We've got a trailer on order from K2 which will have weigh cells.
slightly off topic, But i was thinking the other day wouldnt it be an idea to put weigh cells on feed silos? so the feed company can see when you need more, or if theyr trying to fill a space on a lorry can see if you have space in the silo for a few ton?
Our poultry feed bins sit on weigh cells so it is possible.

Neither option was cheap however!

If you want to get fancy with the drill, would you not fit a system that calculates seeds per sq meter rather than weight. Think someone has developed something similar in the past (Kuhn/Amazone?) but i stand corrected.
