For the DIY shed builders, lets say you have done the tricky bit and worked out the angles you want to cut the RSJs at etc, how do you do the cutting so that you get it right ?

Its v easy to say we need to cut this 9" RSJ at 12% but how do you measure the angles accurately ?

When I did my 100x50, I got a piece of angle and welded apiece of 1" flat to 1 end of it at the correct 15 degree that I wanted and always worked off what would be the top of the beam.
Turned out like this

getting calcs done for a 13.716x10m x 3.3 to eaves this week will be interesting to see how they come out its in exposed site @ 100meters so not that high and is fully enclosed all ready built but need a retrospect ticket its 254x146x31 posts 178x102 rafters with split beam haunches 152x152x23 gables and 4no 76 dia roof braces +angle knee braces what do you think
all the steel passed fine uprights could have been 203 as said and no need for eaves ties so good news

So does a local steel yard but I once went into a local ag engineers who where building a lean to for someone. They had ordered the steel cut to length and angle and had it blasted and painted !, shame all the angles where all different on all 6 lengths !. I always cut my own with the 9" n a slit disc.

What are the diagonal plates for above the horizontal web plates for @Forever Fendt
they transmit the forces applied from the bolt grouping where the rafter bolts to the stansion and distribute these loads across the web of the stansion and distribute to the opposite flange they are morris stiffness mostly seen in ind buildings, adding them can reduce the weight of stansion used and they should be fully welded

The cheapest steel you buy is direct, trouble is they don't offer a cutting service direct, a lot depends on the length you want, the last I bought were 18.3m long and I needed 18m it didn't take 15m to cut the angles.(y)
