Hi all looking at buying a 2012 RP435 with 40k bales on it. Just wondering what I should look out for when viewing it. What trouble areas are there and what are the costly wear factors to look at. Thanks in advance

Good solid baler. Good consistent bales. Not over complicated to work on. I’ve had mine from new and it’s in its 11th season.

I would say biggest wear is bearings but they are easily replaced and common sizes so you don’t have to buy genuine. I now keep a selection in stock. Check for play by trying to move the rollers.

Pick up tines need replacing periodically but are cheap to buy.

The pick up runs on a cam plate and I did have the rollers collapse and so had to replace so might be prudent to check for any excess movement.

Have a look under the back door there's a guide for the belts that wears and can go very sharp a split the belts, easily to take off and build up with the welder and grinder tho

Thanks for the info. I bought the baler it needs a few jobs looking at but it's in pretty good order. Paid just over 7k for it which I think is a good price. Couldn't believe how simple it is hardly any electrics to go wrong unlike the John deer we have now. 🤞

I swapped from a John Deere and like you say hardly any electrics. Sometimes you can over complicate matters.

Feel free to ask if you need any help.
