Ok junior (11) needs a pair of Wellingtons. He's doing a days work every day so needs a decent boot but he's about to start growing so don't want to spend a fortune. The biggest issue with his present boots (dunlop purfort) is his leg looks like a mouse tail in a jam jar and his boots fill with debris on a regular basis, so can anyone recommend a decent boot with a skinny fit or close able top?

sorry, can't recommend a boot but if his trousers are a little long like mine then I always do chunky turn ups at the bottom. Catches all the straw and shite and the Mrs doesn't kill me when I walk in for a cuppa!

Wellies with gusset adjustment. Tend to be the pricier ones though. I have Aigle Parcours for my skinny calves.

How about high leg lace up boots? You can get them 12" tall.

I think you can get gators to go over wellie boots, similar to the ones available for dealer boots.
Popular with our antipodean friends.
I’m not sure if @ozoverboots is still operating

There are a few dealers that stock top brand neoprene boot discounted '2nds' for about half the retail price, ask around your local suppliers.
Or on Brisels lace up boot idea, youngest son wears German 'para boots' from the local 'Army Navy' shop, surprisingly available in a size 5 1/2! (Edit - available in a UK 4.5, I guess they must be harder to shoot).
