Welsh Sustainable Farming Scheme AND Protests

Perhaps its already been said by someone but together with TB NVZs and the data gathered from the universal actions this SFS is/could be a big step towards state control of Welsh agriculture maybe not all out nationalisation but it could soon get to the point of not being able to level a mole hill without some official permission almost at that point already anyway and the 10% trees/habitat is just a smoke screen to distract from their real ambition.
Hell I hope I'm not starting some kind of conspiracy theory perhaps calving a cow at daft o'clock this morning has addled my brain, now need to go make a phone call to book my seat on the bus for Wednesday.

dont mention full fat milk
Indeed, once upon a time a scientist sponsored by someone with an agenda produced a paper. That was accepted and formed health policy for probably 40 years. Except it was a fake conclusion.

This is happening widely, whoever pays the piper!

I can't remember now. I'm sure there was going to be an online portal for such things so I suspect you'd need to keep it fairly near.
Some were hoping it would be a paper exercise you could do the night before an inspection but if its an online portal they could easily check what you updated and when 🤷
Its under UA16 good animal welfare you need to complete online competency training to be able to carry out lameness and body condition scoring, keep records of all lame stock and enter those records onto WG online portal.

To be fair to the media, it's only the last couple of weeks that farmers have woken up to the issues presented by the proposals in the main- NFU Cymru I know have been telling for a long time that there's a shitshow on the horizon- but it's taken European/global farmers protesting to give it a kick start here.
and look how little MSM coverage that's gotten in the last several months   .... MSM is nothing more than a propaganda machine - end of 🤬🤬

Just replied to the consultation. Born and lived in Wales all my life, but in our area nobody speaks Welsh. I have no problem with anyone who does, hell, we're in Wales. But can somebody please explain why there's a page of questions about how the SFS will affect the Welsh language, either positively or not. I can't think of one single action that any one of us does ,or could do ,that could ever have any effect whatsoever on someone choosing to speak more or less Welsh. Have they been smoking something dubious or am I missing something?

Every consultation has a question about the Welsh language. It’s fairly relevant here as 50% of Welsh farmers speak Welsh, far higher than the general population. So a decline in the numbers of Welsh farmers would inevitably lead to a decline in the number of Welsh speakers.

In our area most people especially in agriculture are native Welsh speakers. They won't change unless they have to move away for work.
I am learning Welsh in respect.
Yes,no problem with that, but I can't see one sentence in their guide book that could ever have an effect on the amount of Welsh spoken. Bizarre if you ask me

I can certainly understand that, even as a non-Welsh speaker/incomer, but I too fail to see how any of the questions can individually influence that.

The scheme as a whole reducing the number of people employed in agriculture, or by agricultural businesses, I can certainly see having an negative effect, but not individual aspects particularly.
Questions loaded for a reason perhaps?🤷‍♂️
