Having had the driest few months from March to October in this area, nature had to put everything right and it has certainly done that in October.
While we only normally get around 26" annually, we have had over 9" in October and already over1" in November.

Amazingly the ground is still absorbing the water and many ponds and watercourses are still far from being full yet.

Don't know if its the wettest October we have had near Blackpool but bosses dad thinks it could be with 236mm over October and 40mm plus for November. Currently over 1160mm for the year, only 40 less than last years final total but still a good margin behind 2012 at 1606mm

We have had 6 inches in October !If it wasn't dry in September it would look a lot worse .Those 6 days in October which we're dry let most do maize and get corn in .
