never ever had one like this…Is it some kind of photosensitisation?

I had one do that last year! Never did work out what it was. I sheared it, dropped it in a little dip bath, antibiotics and pain relief. It’s face went totally bald, was rubbing sudocrem into its face at one point it was that sore looking. It got going again but was May before it was ready. Sort of grew its face hair back but always looked a rum bugger!

Can’t imagine that it’s photosensitisation when it’s affecting its undercarriage like that. Looks like a dermatitis/eczema/infection type thing, especially with the smell. Make up a tub of golden hoof and dip/wash him in it?

Closest I have seen to that was on the side of a springing heifers udder one summer, I put it down to sweat and rubbing of the leg. It stank, the skin actually was rolling off. I used herbal wash and cream on her and it cleared up, but did take a while. Looks like it is skin folds affected in the photos?

Maybe a combo of sweat and infected glands in some places (eye, foot and groin glands), and some photosensitivity or mites- I think there are a couple of different things going on here. I would blue spray the groin in particular, slather with sudocrem/udder cream, drench and jab with an antibiotic. Keep it somewhere a bit sheltered from the sun that will restrict movement as well if you can
