Was looking at some land for sale and they had 3 of them in a row in the ground.
There has been some digging, earth removal in part of the field, and then hardcore put in..near where them pipes are.
Any idea what they are and more importantly why are there for?

We have some across our place that are bore holes for testing water quality, they were installed due to the location of a quarry and the concerns over the impact it had on the quality water aquifers. But ours are blue and suspect they are colour coded for water, gas etc possibly?

I had some like that put in land of mine that the council was looking to buy to extend cemetery.

Said it was to check water table level

Such pipes can also be for checking radon gas levels, all development sites have to have a radon report for the planning permission, even in areas where its not a problem.
