Had my truck serviced yesterday and I know it’s low mileage but hardly been anywhere due to COVID.got home and read receipt as I then had access to my glasses and looked at the cost of oil.£91.50 for 7.5 litres.i called and questioned it but told it was part of service and lady said it was very special toyota oil and that was the price.i told her it was made by an oil company and put in toyota marked containers but she would not have it.anyone else been fleeced for oil at garages or dealers.seems extortionate to me

Wasteful idiotic booking in procedures at Regional Distribution Centres.

When I first began in the courier industry the acceptance that waiting an hour for someone to sign for a consignment was not unusual took me months to get used to and it has has been known for a 7 hour wait to occur. (Waiting time for a basic van and driver is never less than £15 per hour).

A new one on me yesterday - had a guy with a small curtainsided tail-lift van refused (11 boxes at 2 kg each shrink wrapped on to a pallet) because despite there being a forklift and a forklift ramp at the end of 20 loading docks. My driver was willing and able to pick up the 2kg boxes individually and place them on a loading lock or allow forklift access to unload by opening a curtain but oh no - You must get another booking in slot and return with a minimum 18 tonne wagon which can unload directly onto the dock.

Extra cost involved is going to be £250 after we put a mark up on it - The sender of the goods just rolls over and accepts the extra costs having already agreed to pay us for the "failed" delivery
