Passed with 2 minor non conformances, the spray shed sign and a slightly bent grain shed door that could possibly let birds in. it is no longer a requirement to retain grain samples from loads leaving the farm and the fuel records are for grain driers to make sure we aren't using oil engine oil to dry grain apparently.

Waste of time like the rest of it. Who knows whether you dry grain or not.
Do away with jobsworths throughout the country and economy world thrive with plenty spare for defence, health and other priorities.
In fact jobsworths would serve the country better if they just went on benefits, kept out of sight and allowed those that wanted to work to work.
Not much different to the disruptive child in a class.

Got mine coming up next week. Fortunately I’ve already had a ‘chat’ with the chap and have explained that I am ‘less than happy’ with RT.
Sounds like they’re nearly as fed up with RT as I am.
Also, can you point out where to find a checklist of nonsense important records as I may also have to brush up my records.

Hope yours went well.
Our auditor gave us an unprompted 10minute monologue last week on how delighted he was to see the high heedjuns finally squirming

“Road closed 0930 - 1530 today”

0730 the sunbelt hire lads out pulling the barriers across (after overtaking 2 vehicles on a blind bend to get there 4 seconds quicker).

We’ve got lime coming, arranged for before half 9 and after half 3. Cleared and salted 1.5km of fairly steep windy council road to make sure could get in. Not seen a gritter on road since 4” of snow.

“Sorry mate, they changed the permit to half 7”

That’s not been advertised

“I can’t help you mate, I’ve to go to Aberdeen now”

That’s fine, I’ll shift the cones myself

“You can’t mate”

Oh, ok then.

The phrase “making memories”.
Usually entails an expensive over rated occasion ruined by people taking endless photos of themselves. I’d smash camera phones TBH. Why not just enjoy the moment for what it is?
My wife is like a jap tourist has to take pictures of everything. Are kid never get to make a bloody memory because there having to smile for the camera.

Neighbours who are former London barristers who feel they are the lord of all. The one who doesn't like red feed tubs so will move so they're not seen, had a shed repainted as he didn't like the colour, charged several thousand for power to go through even though it never ended up going through his land.

Now accused us of damaging his land with the cable though they then told another that it was at another property and nothing to do with us now is kicking up a fuss because Openreach want to bury a fibre-optic line under the verge that he now says he owns though does no maintenance of it and is the other side of his property's fence and hedge where the maps we have show it ending at the hedge yet had no issue with them putting it underground to his own home.

Had a great trip to wildlife centre yesterday with kids. Birds of prey a particular highlight.

Watching the flying demonstration, “kestrel numbers are dangerously low due to modern farming methods, like hedgerow removal and use of poisons. There was a bit of a resurgence in numbers during the lockdown years however”

But agriculture didn’t lock down, it was constant throughout. Dog walking, manicuring of public spaces, road travel, building developments, human activity in general certainly slowed if not stopped. Does that not suggest anything?

people who blames everyone else because of a brake in
they dont do nothing to ensure their house safety, because it feels safe. since im a contractor i know after installing a lot of security equipment that you can brake in so easily if doors are not safe. Ultimately, investing in security doors is a measure that reinforces the safety and well-being of occupants, providing a sense of security in an increasingly uncertain world.

Post office.

Checked online, local one open till 17.30hrs today. Went in at half 2.

Desk shut (it’s a counter in the co-op). Asked shop worker what the story was.

“Yeah they decided to shut early”

Says half 5 on website and listed as open

“Yeah, they went away at lunchtime”

Is there not an obligation to be open during stated hours?

“I think so, but you can come back after half 5”

Why?

“Because we open our counter then”

Can you open it now?

“No, we can’t open when the post office is open”

But it’s shut

“Yeah, but we’re not allowed to open during their hours”

But they’ve buggered off early coz they can’t be arsed

“That’s basically what’s happened, yes”

But you can’t open till half 5

“No, we’re not allowed to”

Great, thanks for your help.

It is not just bt, our broadband provider is an absolute devil to get in touch with, anyone would think that they aren't a communications business.
Plusnet get a very good name for customer service.
What really grinds my gears is people who persist in pursuing futile ideas despite myself explaining why they are futile and a waste of time and then make me look like a non-team player when I refuse to engage with their ideas on the basis that they are futile and a waste of time.
Sounds like the young farmers committee now that we have non-farmers in office bearer roles due to lack of numbers.
Overwhelming urge to send you a fax
Ngl I've never sent, received or even seen a fax letter.
Yes , I've already done that , and what seemed like a TOTAL disaster looks like being recoverable . Hope so anyway . I have neither chickens nor turkeys , in fact I have no livestock at all that depends on me - not even a goldfish . ANY kind of livestock requires commitment and responsibility , neither of which I need - thank goodness !
Without depressing you, it's genuinely mind blowing the things you will have seen in life. You've pretty much lived through everything still possible to be within living memory. Myself only being born in 2002 finds it hard to fathom that you will have memories from the war, when we still had an empire and everything inbetween. Ofc it comes to us all and no doubt I'll be told one day that its mental that I lived through lockdown... Or that I grew up when we still had cars and running water.
