After a good swimming session we need a quick tea nothing big, I pick a £4.50 steak and get criticised for blowing all that money on one thing, then watch them buy £6 worth of crap bread, biscuits and sweets! I will stick to a juicy steak than processed slop

Me ,,When are you doing it
Him ,Well I don't know
Me , I can't put the colour gravel in untill it's done ,don't want it messing up .
Him ,Got to get my mate to do it but he's busy .
Oh great.

Today he says ,you don't work Sundays .
Me ,yes if it's fine ,not that it's going to be .
Him ,,no no ,Sundays are the day of rest ,you can't work
Me,,well sorry but if it's dry I'm working ,Sundays don't mean anything to me ,nor do bank holidays or any other excuse days .

Him ,,I don't like people that work Sundays .
Me thinking ,I rightly don't care ,I don't like you anyway ,(ex smack head who found god )

DEFRA the useless f**king twits have carried out routine land change detection work and erased large amounts of my hedges in every single bloody field, now I have to provide maps and evidence to get them changed back. They say they are busy and there may be a delay, well it's not bloody surprising, they must spend most of their time correcting the mistakes their f**king useless computer makes.

Using concrete blocks to raise water troughs only to have one slip and take out a chuck front and back after trapping a finger leaving you unable to bend said finger that when having a cup of tea you find people look at you shocked only to belatedly realise your flipping them off 🤦🏻‍♂️

Bull had his head stuck in the round feeder this morning. The same feeder he's been using for the last two months without any problem

Stood on the opposite side to hold it down and shouted at him, hoping he just needed some incentive. Nope.
Half a mile back to the farm to get the battery grinder. Turned the workshop upside down to find a cutting disc small enough to fit. Located spare battery. Back into pick-up and started down the road. Reversed back up to go and look for the hacksaw, in case the grinder upset him too much.
Back down to the field. Trudged 50 yards up through the mud carrying all the stuff.

He took one look at the grinder, twisted his head out, and walked away 😬

You should go in for sheep get a dozen calls about how a sheep is really stuck before you can even leave the yard after the first walk across as one says how they have grabbed their wire cutters as they swear it's the only way the see getting it you see some trying to push it's head back from the other side they step back go on about how it's really stuck only to watch it see us approaching and so step back and pull it's head out look at us with a bit of sass as if to say "psych" before calmly walking off right up until the dog speedily stalks towards it.

Mind you I think I'll stick to sheep they can hurt like a sod but they can't crush you as easily as a cow by accident

Do district/city councils fine themselves when that sort of stuff happens, or do they just shrug their shoulders and blame the rain climate change? It seems to be a regular thing these days.

Heaven forbid a farmer's effluent storage accidentally overflows, the place would be swarming with helicopters, drones, council compliance officers and the media.

Replacing the alternator belt on the Manitou we have had since new and it was the wrong size even though supplied by a manitou dealer who was given model , age and serial number. Went back to change it and they said the belt matched the serial number which was a none turbo model. Fortunately we had taken a picture of the vin plate the turbo sticker on the door and a picture of the turbo in place at which point he had to believe us. I thought serial numbers couldn’t be wrong but according to manitou ours hasn’t got a turbo.

Drainage 😖

North facing field on a hill, half the field has various different schemes ranging from old stone drains up to a 1975 tiles scheme.
That side is fixed 👍.
Other side hasn’t got any tiles as that’s where the private water supply comes from, but no one was sure of the route the inlet took so it wasn’t drained by the schemes in case they disrupted the water supply. Got 4 separate boil ups from little stone drains, cannot find an exit for them, been at it for 2 days solid and just making a mess. 😖

There’s gonna be a new leader trenched right up the middle of barsteward as soon as the trencher stops being broken in the workshop.

Electioneering hints about knocking a penny off taxes.
Do they think we are that stupid? Public debt has never been bigger and spending is out of control. So a tax cut won’t really help and will probably only need to be clawed back some other way.
The things that bother me are the health service, dentistry etc.
