Looking to upgrade my Milwaukee impact gun as I’ve found the 1/2” mid torque one just isn’t fit for what I need it for so looking at a high torque gun the question is stick with 1/2” or go to 3/4”? What exact gun does everyone recommend as the Milwaukee range is massive and the numbers are a bit confusing!! Defintely sticking with Milwaukee that’s what all my tools are!
Could do with a new drill as well does anyone use an SDS combi drill for masonry and metal work or am I better buying too seperate ones?

I have mid torque and 3/4.
If your wanting it for wheel nuts then just go 3/4! Mid torque is fine for most other stuff.

I’d have to check the model but my mid torque compact just doesnt seem fit for a lot of machinery work and like you say defintely isn’t for wheelnuts!

Mid torque is 610nm
The current 3/4 is around 1600nm I think only slightly more than the 1/2 high torque as they are basically same guns.

If wheel nuts is its main job 3/4 all day long.
Half considering a 1" drive myself but I got no 1" sockets and I got other stuff I want more!

if there's nothing wrong with your 1/2" gun just use that for the smaller/lighter jobs and get a 3/4" for the heavier ones, the 3/4" is a fair old lump if your using it for any length of time tho, not used one of the drills but when my metabo drill finally gives up it will be replaced by a milwaukee

Got an M18 fuel 3/4". Amazing tool, the only thing that shifts wheel nuts done up to 500nm, plus does it without too much effort. Got a 5ah and a 9ah battery with it which last really well. Takes a bit of setting up with a bluetooth app for torque settings and you pre programme it with 4 different modes. You can also lock it with the app so others can't use it!! ?
