I've just come back from a week on holiday in North East Norfolk and the crops generally look excellent over there, good for us livestock boys in the West that there will be some straw around at least

I do feel for the farming community, land round here has been sodden for a long old time it seems and only the last few weeks has it seemed that things have properly shot up, imagine the lads and lasses will be very busy getting things in/ working out what's not worked and trying to adapt

I think ajd132 is probably referring to the straw burning power station and how that draws a lot of straw that'd normally have gone for livestock.

Theres a little bit (20ac ) gone in here yesterday in much better conditions than we/I expected walked field friday and decision was no way. Son walked field sunday morning and go go go , heavy shower shower overnight so for the first time in the last 6 months progress .
