If December wheat is achieving such a huge price, I can’t help thinking that the market hasn’t yet factored in the effect of the massive fertiliser prices on harvest 22….?
There's a lot of wheat in the ground and if grain prices keep going the way they are fert prices won't be an issue but logistics may be, and it's amazing what can be achieved when people start waving money about.

Definitely more OSR, but nearly all the maize beans and beet land is or will be back in to wheat, all the black grass boys and girls who daren't drill until mid October or later have got it in. I don't think there will be very much spring cropping, in the arable areas, unless there is a late flush of black grass.

yep agree beans have gone for next year as has sp barley been replaced or rather re instated by wb though I still dont see a vast increase in ww and there seems to be a fair bit more osr which looks big andin reality was sown /planned/commited before the big price increase

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
