With the current weather forecast then I would consider spring osr broadcast with a quad bike. Might not suit the rotation but osr drilling this autumn is not likely to be early drilled if the barley is not planted yet.

Stuff I drilled on Wednesday is up and in row today, pretty speedy, I mauled some SW in on Friday (on clay) and is chitted already although I lost that lovely tilth by using a combi, reckon I would have been better to use the fert spinner and a set of chain harrows. A hell of a lot of ground still to be planted around here, a lot still in stubble. Bang the seed rate up and get it in I reckon.

Managed to get one field drilled today (148 acres) wouldn’t drill with our TS evo, but managed to get someone to drill with a avatar to cut through the clay, wasn’t overly impressed by the avatar tho.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
