As above my rape is allover the place with regards to ripening about half is maybe a week past dedication the other half is anywhere from flowering to very green

It depends on how pushed you are for time and how much of the more forward crop you shell out as you go through. I’d do it when the majority is at the correct stage. With a high clearance sprayer and plenty of time you could do the forward stuff now and come back for the rest later. Have you already done pod stick?

thats what we did. But you only need a small patch of late stuff to spoil the sample with brown seeds. I’d go a tad late with the glyphosate.
