Where do I need to go

In terms of what you “should” be running in a major new build or renovation....

A minimum of a double Cat 6 wall outlet to each bedroom and each living space also 2 cables into the ceiling space at strategic points for WiFi access points.

Personally I’d also run dual/quad shield RG6 coax (2 cables) home run back to the same point as the UTP structured cabling for video etc. Then you adequately cover all the bases.

They can be left coiled up, so long as you can get access to them to terminate in future.

You need to step up a grade to less domestic ap's that will operate in mesh mode, e.g. ubiquitti or cisco. Engenius also do a nice system. These will be centrally managed.

Ime you can mess about with ssid and channels and it still never properly works on lesser brands

Yes, we’re cheating and reusing EE and BT hubs

posh = ?

Is this the TFF "HUB"?
I thought it would at least have filled the "snooker room"
If I get a similar set up would I then become the "TFF" back up centre?
Now for the Q you might not answer was the cost more or less than the new Drill (no not the battery one on the floor) the.

Possibly..... typo / spell checker !

TFF lives in a very boring cloud so no sexy hardware to be seen I’m afraid

A set up like that would make a new drill look cheap if you included the hardware on the other end of the wires that it’s connecting

What you want to do in that case is make sure each access point (hub) that’s blasting out WiFi is doing so on a separate channel (best at least 3 channels apart so as not to overlap frequencies) to the other and then use the same SSID (WiFi signal name).

You would think so , but auto handover rarely works unless it's a proper mesh system

Tried most of the tricks, my brother works in IT and is a Cloud Engineer with BUPA and he’s tried a few tricks then told me which routers to buy and left me to it...... awkward me is yet to order them :whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:
