Do they want FA number ?
Not relevant...

I can buy any agrochems I want from local suppliers.

I did get some generic Glyph from Hutchinsons for a "finish a field before it rains" job. I was queried what I was using it for which made me chuckle when I was paying with the farm business card.... Scrappy farm pickup outside... I got my 40l anyway, good price too....

Sometimes useful to identify what's legally required to spray a bit of corn: You must follow the label, the person applying it must be qualified (pa..) and the kit must be in test (nsts).

Everything else is people trying to get fat off you - RT, nroso, agronomist (tbf he can add value).

Hope I haven't forgotten anything!

yes it will be small amounts , i will have a think , and maybe a plan, growing a 'bit of corn ' was always something i did and enjoyed ' all green' needs a break for best livestock health as well if its on ground that thats practically / sensibly / economically possible .
Why not try without chemicals I'm giving it a go on a 10 acre piece ploughed out of pasture for winter barley not even put glypho on no pre ems only plan for manganese and nitrogen it's rekindling my love for farming

“politics” within the crop protection supply market make it very difficult for Farm Marketplace to get the very best prices so most of its buyers are amenity market / small holders

to get proper competitive farm scale prices join @Farmdeals

‘Farm scale’ being 16x20L of glyphosate minimum, or slug pellets by the pallet?
I suspect that would keep @Bury the Trash even longer than it would me, but then neither of us would operate at ‘farm scale’ I suppose.

That's a point having got my ticket in about '89 I'm not actually sure where it is :D
come of think of it im not going back on nroso either.

maybe all grass and forage field s are for the best :(

If you can remember who you did the certificates with (NPTC?) then you can get a replacement card with your relevant numbers on for about a tenner.
I recently tracked down a replacement for my long lost sheep dipping qualification, in case I ever need to purchase dip.

You won’t need to join NROSO, or MOT your sprayer more than every third year, unless you go farm assured for combinables.

there are solutions for any scale - call or use the quote page and the team will do their best for you i’m sure, we are still not able to put everything online or the app …….. yet

there is no getting away from the fact that bigger orders are cheaper though, logistics / delivery is a significant cost that obviously will vary on location and quantity

I got 10 cans of glyphosate from farm deals, delivered to Kent, at time price was cheaper than any supplier I had asked for price so doesn't have to be massive order. Think location can still be an issue for delivery if no one else ordering.

my biggest problem being horticulture on a very small scale is obtaining chemicals in small enough quantities. There is one company that seems happy to supply but now is using a high security delivery company and insisting on photos and signature!

Hve you ever spoken to @Lucy @ Farm Marketplace ? this is the kind of stuff she's good at
Please
