I’ve often thought about it, but not sure how the logistics would work for doing 1 acre or less paddocks. I usually end up spreading 25kg bags @£60/acreCould be a niche for a contractor with a uniquely small spreader.
25kg bags? That sounds mental expensive.
Not much choice when this is your kit for contracting. As previously said my customers cannot get powdered lime spread on 1acre. I can’t get big bags delivered to jobs so 25kg bags are the only option.
Had 60 tonne Calcium Lime spread this spring £23 / tonne. Quarry is about 25 miles awayLime is around 32/t here and i still consider it cheap for what it does
I meant spreading small awkward areas with ground lime the spreader seems to be the hard bit,I’ve often thought about it, but not sure how the logistics would work for doing 1 acre or less paddocks. I usually end up spreading 25kg bags @£60/acre

I have done it with a wagtail before now and loaded it by hand. It is a bit of a challenge but will do a job.Is there a mounted fert spreader that will spread ground limestone?
There will be a few quarries in Co Durham & North yorkshire within easy reach of Hartepool . Both CA & mag limeStuff we get is loaded onto a boat in england somewhere, hartlepool maybe? and shipped up here.
