Which is the best 4t 7m approx telehandler of mainstream brands? No obscure ones please!

Endless question really as its just other peoples opinion of which there will be many some justified and others not, but the only opinion that really matters is your own!

try a few on demo or ask your nighbours for look at theres, buy the one you like based on how well it does what YOU ask/want of it, the one you can afford and the one you can best get service for.

In no particular order JCB, Manitou and i guess Merlo are the mainstream brands i suppose, with Bobcat, New Holland, Kramer, Claas, Dieci following behind again in no particular order just what sprang to mind at the time.

It would be interesting to see the numbers sold into the agriculture mkt in the UK.
I'd guess JCB would be first but a lot of Kramers being sold to JD customers.

Jcb would win the numbers game in uk hands down with manitou 2nd, merlo 3rd.

How ever just cause jcb sell more doesnt in my eyes make them any better than the others although I would take just about any machine over a Merlo!

Are you looking for new or secondhand? I was chatting to manitou dealer last week and he said they are still hard to get hold of he said. I don’t think you can do any better than either a Jcb or a manitou. If you don’t mind climbing into a high cab then Jcb. I personally prefer my 741 manitou as It is lower to get in and out of it and I never really spend hours on end in it so the cab and noise doesn’t really bother me.

I haven't had a go in the very latest Claas but I have driven 3 different Kramer build Claas machines and a Kramer itself and I got on with them all really really well. I had to turn down the responsivity of the hydraulics down a notch at first though.
My son was with Class last year and says there's a few problems with them. I tried to a get a quote for one though but couldn't get one. However I'd prefer a Class because I like their backup.
