Which respirator for pesticide application?

Reading through the various different types of respirators it's pretty easy to get overloaded with irrelevant information. Can anyone provide a link to information about which respirators should be used by spray operators when filling a sprayer? Which respirators are people using on farm which they are satisfied with (please give the releveant safety standard if possible)? Do you use full face respirators or half masks with a separate brow shield

I'll only use a full respirator when dealing with powders/granules such as Dursban.

Normally I just use a full face shield and always stand up wind when filling the induction hopper!

For powders and insecticides I use a 3M P3 half mask, hood and face shield.

Sorry if I'm being thick but do you need it to protect against acid gas and ammonia?

For the price of them I would rather be over specified? It's my health after all. And they are reusable so tend to change them every few months. Only wearing them while filling.
