'well behind the more conscientious European neighbours'

what a load of bollox
Come on, seriously? Our food laws all stem from EU laws, they then have assurance too and in all honesty, the farms are generally immaculate in northern Europe, central storage, immaculate, they put massive pride into their farms, far more than a vast majority over here.

so we have the same laws....we have rt..but they don't....so you infer we need rt because, despite the same rules, we are inferior

THEN you go on with a sweeping generalisation about the state of holdings....even if that was true isn't that 'book by the cover '?

some of rt's worst animal welfare scandals have happened on so called 'model farms'

your argument...IMO...is one of an RT apologist

Rt is despicable and I'd love to leave, I'm the one saying set up another farmer owned and run scheme ASAP. Sorry if you disagree, I think a lot being spoken about on here is skin deep and needs far more consideration than shouting let's just leave. I am far more invested in securing the future of my farm than anything else, if the being of that works here it should work for any other farmer. A lot of people on here need to be very careful what they wish for.
