Used to be the place to get quality, cheap... but recent years the prices have gone up but quality went down IMO (best tups kept for Carlisle and Stirling)

Yeah, but you’re apparently happy enough when they’re dead before their second season?

No l definitely not happy there dead, but the ones l replace them with will need to live longer.

I was going too offer them 3 tup lambs for 450… but they probably won’t like the breed…

You should have gone and bought yourself a couple of Charollais, look's like their a rare breed up there, probably had lunch as well, suffolks on the other hand.

Plenty of good texel tups there today in the 800 to 1000 pound bracket which is only 8 or 10 prime lambs at current rates so not out the way. If i needed a texel i would have been happy to buy from plenty of the sellers today. Black heddon in ring 19 had a fantastic pen of fit tups

You can have brown or white, but you have to slice it yourself.

I'd really doubt it. Too much hassle setting up as many rings and live feeds from a remote site

The site itself is pretty well equipped on the communication front, but I'm not sure you'd hear anything on a live stream with other auctioneers a few yards away.

I got a texel at £1200 and a beltex at £1100 which was my budget. Didn’t think they were any dearer than expected but did my usual trick of finding a texel easy enough that I liked but every beltex I had marked went well above budget so decided to sacrifice a bit of shape for size to get what I needed.
