I’m going on a farm tour to Goondiwindi tomorrow.
They had 200 mm last night in places.

The Severn was out a long way when I went to the football yesterday . Always amazed how the corn recovers as one field of wheat was totally submerged140mm in parts of Wales yesterday
Similar here, it was a great year, but we'd had much more rain this time last year and the water table was very high, so things could handle the dry summer.Apart from some barley that went in late and baked last year 30mm in 3 months and all was fine so I don’t see any issues with the same again
This it what keeps farmers sane but mother nature has been tampered with , dont bank on anything in the futureMother Nature will always adjust and compensate, down the line ...... for any earlier unusual weather events
Humans forget this though
A dry winter had to lead to a late wet Spring
Like night following day

This year despite a couple of wet weeks things are much drier around here and there is no way we would handle 3 months of dry from now.
I ploughed ground on the 3rd of this month and it could have been sown immediately, despite having cows outwintered on it until a couple of weeks before hand.
I guess if things are wet enough that you could do so long without rain after such a dry year, it shows how different things are around the country.
We could handle it dry from June onwards if growing conditions were ok until then, but without at least a wet May, we would be screwed.
Whats happened to the Shrews this year? The Severn was out a long way when I went to the football yesterday . Always amazed how the corn recovers as one field of wheat was totally submerged
typically for a small club, the manager left, taking the best players with him, then others left. So new team and on our second manager this season. Last year was a one off.Whats happened to the Shrews this year?
Shame. They nearly made it to the Championship last year.typically for a small club, the manager left, taking the best players with him, then others left. So new team and on our second manager this season. Last year was a one off.
Is that the road to Melverley? As annoying as it is the rain has done a lot of good here and was needed. Quite amazing how much we have had, photo from 5 mile away near the riverView attachment 777676feels like the calm after the storm today, a change is in the airView attachment 777678 hopefully get the sandy ground sown this week
You can do a damn sight more with water than without .
Swap for some sunshine?Ummmm. Can't actually walk on average land here today, never mind do anything with it.
