Ok, what type is it ? How much is it? And how do you apply? In warm water?
Makes me feel a bit sceptical, but I would like to make it a bit less acidic. Stop them shi**ing so much, or is that the protein?

I would say an additive is pretty much essential for wholecrop to stop it from heating up at the pit face during feed out.

Using Double Action Ecocorn from Ecosyl here, never had any problems

Is there any real benefit in round bales, never used any in 10years, just wondered would it make it significantly better?

Hopefully wholecrop will contain high levels of starch and sugar which in turn are susceptible to aerobic spoilage.

A good inoculant inhibits yeasts and moulds which can be formed by starch & sugar therefore increasing the aerobic stability during feed out, mycotoxin levels are reduced too.

I think we hear less of an inoculant being used on either round baled grass or wholecrop because very few seem to be setup appropriately to apply the inoculant through a round baler.
