Utter bull 5hit. I was in Indiana a couple of months back and couldn’t believe how poor the crops looked. Driving back the 1600 km only one area had caught decent rains and that wasn’t a vast area. Adding it all up between high rent fertilizer costs higher fuel and equipment costs they are hurting big time. Governments create the fake news or investors would loose confidence in the U.S. economy. The crunch is yet to come fir North America I think. Canada and the USA are spending vast sums of money around the world interfering with matter that don’t concern them while their own population get taxed higher and have less to show fir their tax dollar. Big areas of the prairies in Canada won’t have an average crop. West of me outside the valley crops are poor and won’t cover inputs let alone rents or equipment costs. Sad times.

The older generation with no one to take over it will force retirement earlier but all the land will get farmer. Plenty waiting to spread their wings the same as any other country. I know if land came up for sale or rent here dozens would be fighting over it then cry poverty and say it doesn’t pay.

😆sounds just like here.

Farm next door to me just come on the market. All be it just 100 acres. Most of that is bloody steep and dry ood perm pasture you could no reseed easily. Maybe 30 acres cropable but as said its dry ground. Poor buildings and a bungalow that needs bulldozing and rebuilding to make worth living in. (And no mains water or electric)

Looking for £20k per acre inc the bungalow.......

Yep, grass is always greener. Is anywhere as bad as the UK?
Reality may be a little different though.
Chap on here moved over there I think, says it's easy enough to get in if you buy a business. You have been talking about leaving the UK as it's so bad. Buy yourself a pickup and a gun and crack on (y)
