Of all the stupid things Europe has ever done for us this has to be the lowest trick they have ever pulled .
We must be due for another year of virtually no decision in our parliament run by what feels more to most as squabbling toddlers.:(
It is so the lazy good for nothing parliament members can earn another 12 months salary doing and achieving bugger all.Why will 12 months extention help they have not done as they were asked in 33 months!!

We are not being allowed to leave. I fear we will never leave properly.
It’s like being in prison and being given parole that you then cannot exercise.
I am in despair of our politicians.
We had a referendum, we had a result; so what’s so difficult? Good dose of JFDI management required.
Rant over.

I am a leaver but I am now so fed up with indecision and no leadership from any where I think we should probably just say OK we will revoke article 50 and remain.

Once this has happened we can sit back and snipe and bitch about every decision that Europe and our MPs make and grind them down while feeling righteous and self important.

Time for a revolution:mad: everyone grab their pitchfork and we'll storm parliament and burn them(n)

If you've got a pitchfork...

If you can get away from your sheep and cattle for a few days...

If you can afford the fuel to drive down...

I can't make it this week as I've still got a calf due, and next week I'm busy making a set of gates for a lad down the road, but the following week I should be free. Or If you could all hold on till the end of the month I'm headed south anyway so could tie the two in together.

Burn them all:singing:

The EU are hoping that by giving us enough rope that we will end up walking around in
ever decreasing circles, and eventually, before we disappear up our own backsides, they will
have to sort things out for our own good.

No it's the last 50 years of EU nonsense that's ultimately got us in this position.
What a ridiculous cop out.
Why not take it a step further back in history and blame the British people for entering the EU in the first place?

If the government had the guts they could have been out of the EU a week ago, there was nothing ay all to stop them.

This bit I agree with. And it wouldn't have been difficult for the EU to have addressed our concerns over the years, and it would have been one happy-ish family.

:woot: In the words of Brenda from Bristol "you’re joking? Not another one" :banghead::banghead: A referendum got us into this mess so lets just put the Brexit options to a public version of parliaments indicative vote! Voters tick all the leaving options we can live with and the option that gets the most ticks gets implemented. I voted remain and I would accept this route, even with out a remain option, in order that we bring an end this nonsense. :banghead::banghead: The uncertainty is starting to damage investment in our economy more than an actual Brexit!

Looking forward to the next election or referendum, turnout will be shocking (I hope).
That is what they are expecting but people have been roused so I expect turn out will be pretty good compared to normal, be very interesting to see what the local elections throw up.

To be fair, what we joined wasn't the EU it was the EEC. Over the years it morphed into the EU and through various treaties (especially Maastrict & Lisbon) expanded its scope of power and influence. Politicians allowed this mission creep without ever giving the UK population the opportunity to have any say in the matter - especially since both major political parties have primarily been in favour of the EU, with no credible third option. Like all bureaucracies, the EU is always seeking to expand its power & in the same way that turkeys wouldn't vote for Christmas/thanksgiving, those involved in the EU gravy train aren't likely to seek its demise.
