Another vote for powercable extenders, relatively cheap, almost plug and play and no need for extra wiring. This place has thick stone walls and I’ve got three fitted. - two downstairs and one upstairs and WiFi excellent.
when I was messing about with a wireless cctv camera in one of the barns I fitted a powerline adapter in a barn which was fed from a consumer unit fed from another consumer unit in another building which in turn was fed from the house consumer unit and I still got WiFi in the barn !
"Extenders" are usually bad - a proper mesh wifi system works far better.
For a plug & play solution where you can't run proper ethernet cables, look at the TP-Link Deco P9 - you can plug in several of these and they will mesh together over cables/wifi/powerline, whatever works best in your house. Typically about £150 for three (you can have more). Job done.
