Theres a field near me with loads of geese in!

Had a good few flying past early morning and late evening for a couple of weeks now, quite a few summer here now but I did think it was early as well

Geese are going to become a real issue over the next ten years. We are now seeing resident Canadas everywhere and the Greylags have had a cracking breeding season. We've now started feeding some ponds to see if we can thin them out a little.

The only time we get geese on ours is two days after the season every year on maize plots for the little game shoot! Perfect timing, for them!

They have eaten a lot of that 2nd cut.

Lots arrived here yesterday and could hear them flying in last night under the full moon. Usually a sign it’s getting colder .

I did hear from a beater on a local shoot about a shot pheasant that fell from a great height and landed on a couple that were..... ( Well, you know) in the middle of a field. Talk about "Did the earth move for you?"
