Wildlife offer and capital grants timing

Recently applied for CSS wildlife offer to start hopefully 1/1/22 ,would also like to apply for the capital grants scheme for fencing and hedges etc to run at the same time.
Do I have to wait until next year to apply for the Capital Grants part as I am already in an existing CS Scheme which doesn't run out until 31/12/21. Have filled the CG form in online but it won't go through as it keeps flashing up that the land is already in an existing scheme.
Would be grateful if anyone could confirm I am understanding the procedure correctly or give any thoughts.
TIA

Surely the new CS scheme you have applied for will have Capital items applied for which can start from 1/1/22.
The computer system cannot cope with starting new agreements when you are already in an existing one. My neighbour had the same problem and eventually got his NE adviser to help put it through.
You only have until tomorrow to get it sorted though!!

The wildlife offer doesn't include capital items. As I understand it the capital grants offer is applied for from opening in February to April 30 and go ahead is given ( or not ) within a month or two to start the work immediately. So I presume I apply nex year .
Spoke to a NE adviser on the helpline but he had to keep referring to a colleague and I was left not 100% convinced on how it works.
