We actually have a guardian dog - a Bulgarian Mountain (Karakachan) Dog which should do the same thing but she prefers to chase and possibly consume small sheep. We haven't given her a chance to try. She is in the garden beside the sheep and goes wild when a fox comes in.

Sadly she is a spayed female who had a terrible life before we rescued her being imported as a pup stuffed full of drugs, drugs removed and then she was abandoned.

Meant to say 2 days in a row. I suspect it nesting in the dyke. Never seen it flying or running.
Not like RSPB wheatear photos.
Maybe has still to change plumage?

sorry cant put photos up but we had a roe dear walk up the lawn the other evening , what a joy. 2nd time couple of years ago it was doe and fawn. often see muntjacs.

Aye I’m told all sorts of things are rare they just don’t know where to look was fishing recently was 3 twitchers with the cameras watching a grebe as a osprey flew over head and none of them clocked it
