Well I have just taken our old Spaniel out for her last ablutions of the day. Little walk only a couple hundred metres but back through the churchyard. Clear dark sky with stars twinkling. I stood a few moments next to the Church Porch and Saxon tower incorporated into the main Steeple. The building is mainly 12century. And I asked her what she thought of events, as she has seen over a 1000 years of the world. And cast an eye around the gravestones (mainly 18 and 19C burials). There are a few Saxon burials under an old building adjacent - some were disturbed when it was converted to a dwelling a few years ago - the remains reinterred. I am sure the Church quietly whispered she has seen worse and not to worry!
I wonder if Vlad has been talking to buildings too...

The reality is that although Putin hold a lot of power it would need a chain of people to all act to allow nukes to be launched. We can only hope that at least one link in the chain would make a stand and not wish to be responsible for the consequences of following a command to launch. It surely cannot be a decision that any human being would take lightly, even if a powerful person asked you to.

I remember buying blackies at lanark and some were marked for radioactive, would i be right saying if bought at some point they had to be checked with the counter ?
My sister got a job soon after leaving college scanning the sheep, if I remember rightly once the sheep / lambs were brought down to the lowlands, the radioactivity in them droped off quite quickly as they weren't eating contaminated grass anymore, they had to be scanned again before they could be sold for the food chain. I remember long after my sister moved jobs we were still painting things around the yard with tile red paint 😁

If he hadn’t become so obsessed with Russian money for The City and £8,000,000 for the vote Leave campaign and so pally pally with Putin allowing a divide and conquer mentality to set in this might not be happening at the moment 🤯
What is happening at the moment has not in any way been caused by Boris Johnson.

this is what he currently (publicly) says... which is a pretty good take ir ....

Agreed. But Western policies generally have given him more money and more control (he thought anyway).
The govts of the West sleepwalked into this, and are hopefully waking up now. Not the fault of Boris specifically (& any of our alternative leaders would have followed the same route), he is one of many.

Anyone notice that in the videos of shot up russian vehicles there aren't many body's, dies this suggest that when sh!t hit the fan they bolted rather than fight?
I dunno that we're seeing it all, I've seen a couple of videos with entirely too many dead bodies in the last day or so, one was a family of four and a dog with a surviving dog lay next to it's owners bodies that had been dumped in the ditch next to a shot up car. The internet can be a disturbing thing.

Would you go up to a twenty stone tattoed meathead with a big gun and kick him in the shins,
Not by rational choice nor without good reason! But it’s not the size of the dog in the fight but the amount of fight in the dog.
Putin is obviously not open to the consideration of other neighbours, what options are available? Can only stand up and fight or turn the other cheek and walk away. Would you walk away from your home without a fight cause some one bigger wanted it?

It's an incomparable difference between that and killing people like Putin has chosen to do.

Could be Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria........... outside possibility Hungary but I'm not sure what aircraft they run, or whether Orban would provide. Allegedly Mig 29's as that's what Ukrainian AF are used to
Ah, for Ukrainian Pilots to fly? I thought it meant another country was joining in with the defence
