will SB recover?

My early sown SB is looking fine but the later sown stuff on lighter land is shorter than usual and thrown its heads out early, given the fact its still green and weve had plenty of rain now is it likely to recover or will that be a low yield guaranteed now?

grain yield might surprise you...but feck all straw
That is what we found in 2018 when we got hit really hard by drought. Fert was still on the surface after highland show . I had also cut N back as it looked so pants right from emergence . Once it was dried and on trucks it had done 2.05 ton a acre , which was much better than expected but what really surprised me was it had been held up , by 2 round 4x4 bales a acre of straw .
