There was no reason to start.
They don't, as Bob agrees, control the virus.
I know loads of people who break every covid rule going yet still put a mask on.
You are exempt if you understand they are pointless and counterproductive

Anyway, more importantly, who else has got one with their cows on it ?

I can't wait for the day when I don't need one, I hate to see everybody wearing them but I hate it even more when I see others who think they can ignore doing what everyone else is doing to try to get us back to normality.

How did you feel the day before they were compulsory?
When you knew they were going to be, thought that it controlled the virus, yet no one wore them.
Were you angry then, at the unmasked?
Were you unmasked?

I was the same as everybody else, we had no reason to think they helped until the data started to show that they did. Once it became clear that the experts all around the world were saying they help, I along with nearly everybody else started to wear them.
Far too many people around here have lost loved ones to this virus so I'm not going to disrespect them by refusing to wear a mask, however much or little difference it might make.

There is no data!!
You mean you didn't wear a mask for the week leading up to the day of masking?
Because that's what everyone else did.
Even though you believed they worked?
How disrespectful!
At least I know they don't work.

You are just on here on a wind up, I have no idea of the date we were told to wear masks and if there was only a week between those dates I probably wasn't even off the farm in that time. I certainly wasn't having a dilemma as to whether I should be wearing a mask 12 or 9 or 6 months ago or whenever it was, do you think I'm some teenager who keeps a diary? I have a life, you should try it. You'll no doubt come back with some other clever comment but I'm out, happy to debate but I've had enough of your games. If someone said black was black you would say it was white.

Funnily enough people who wear masks and point fingers can never remember when they started wearing them.
You don't appear to be an exception to this rule.
If being faced with the inherent contradictions of your statements winds you up, I'm sorry.

Do you honestly think that I would have the date I started wearing a mask up there with family birthdays and anniversaries? You are getting ridiculous now. Why not engage in a debate instead of making every reply either patronising or sarcastic? People would respect that far more, all you seem to want to do is to put people off commenting, which isn't the idea of a forum.

I have noticed that people are becoming more tolerant of non maskers which is nice. Went to the pub the other night and was asked about my mask and said I was exempt. Everyone was very well behaved and the landlord eventually came and sat down and said he was sick of the bloody lot of it (his words). We know the facts now. We know we have been conned. Time to get back to normal human life, ignore the perverts and the fear mongers and crack on.

You don't think labelling people as disrespectful for what they post and do would cause people to think twice about posting here?

Not at all. I volunteer for all sorts and give up a lot of time for nothing but satisfaction that we did something good. Not sure what that has to do with masks though.

If you cannot or will not get it through your cranium, that wearing of masks is for the common good, then too bad. Wearing a mask and the small inconvenience from that, is a minuscule price to pay to protect others. Refusing to do so, or encouraging others not to wear one, is nothing short of extreme selfishness.
