The reason Essex and others shouldn’t stop is to expose the incompetent clowns who run our life’s who are doing more damage than good with their measures most of it based on nothing other than guess work or in their words following the science
For two years..."wear a mask to control the virus, if you don't you are bad person"
Now, barely a mask in sight!
the virus is still here, people still dying and a mask is only a "small sacrifice"
Come on people!

If you can't see the difference between the virus of 2 years ago plus no vaccines and what we have now you obviously wear your mask over your eyes.

Well i had the virus two years ago and also last week...without vaccines either time and was definitely worse last week in terms of symptoms.
Though Have had much worse colds and flu than both covids.
So you are saying the people who are dying now...we shouldn't try and restrict the virus to save them? Like we did before

Is that the first time you've admitted that people are dying of Covid?

I think you still need to wear them in care settings and some hospitals.
That's not currently government guidance but lots of flip flopping!
I am more interested in why people who previously pointed the finger at the unmasked have now decided to join them.
I mean it's just a "small sacrifice" to pop one on as you go in a shop and the virus is close to record prevalence. It's "killing"(covidian counting method) loads more than this time two years ago when the rule brought in.
They are effective and a small sacrifice i have been told time and again, yet everyone has given up

Have you been watching the Muppets again
I think he makes a fair point, mask use was still required after vaccines were available, the virus is still serious and a major cause of death, especially in the elderly, much of the medical profession still insist that mask use helps (if worn correctly) reduce spread and certain governments are still strongly advising that you wear one.
Many of the people who were very passionate about wearing them and very critical of those who didn't are now not wearing them and maybe even suggesting that that's alright.
What changed?
Over here infection is up, deaths are up, hospitalisation is up, mask use is down.

He might make a fair point but I dont forgive him for some of his stupid comments early on in the pandemic
