Mine coming nicely, crows already pulling the fecking heads off as they cannot get down to bean, so glad they are a bit thicker. Glad they are in with how wet and sticky it is now
Yes works better when cold, but still seems to be effective during the last few mild autumns we’ve been having. I would rather have it on if I had a grass weed issue.Still to warm for KERB beans fully emerged got some glypho on just before emergence but it won't be enough
Grass weeds are easy in the spring
i largely use beans to clear up the wild oat issue I created
Get a dry week or 10 days in the next 6weeks and you'll be laughing though, while we are fighting with grass weed issues. My only consolation is that one field looked like a pasture 2 weeks after combining beans last year, even with using Kerb. Did a comfortable 2t/acre. Glyphosate, plough, very robust pre and post em and so far it seems ok. First field we have ploughed in 8 years.I held back on drilling beans because of the mild weather, forecast was for showers the next week but with 125 mm of rain since middle of October we won't be planting any beans for a bit. Bit of a cock up tbh
with kerb?Finished drilling ours with on Monday with the Claydon. 40% of that 43 acre field was drilled 10 days before. Pre em'd it all yesterday afternoon with some beans poking through.
Kerb, anthem and Blancowith kerb?
Is that a 3, 3.5 or 4m Claydon?Had a change of plan this year had them put in 5" deep with this rather than the plough

There are a few smaller plants still coming through.Perfect plant density there I would say.
