Winter grazing sheep

I have 237acres of new fenced grass fields all with water and plenty shelter .I used to take 800/900 hoggs for winter grassing but after a fall out with the estate I stopped and took on a local sheep farmer that only had 200 on all winter .grass was left to long and at only 40pph/wk this year I am looking at doing a grazing contract per acre .so it could work out better for every one whats everyone's thoughts £head/£acre

whats your business ? Dairy ? the dairies around here prefer a low stocking rate so grass gets away in spring quick ,so depends on whats happening after sheep leave , prices around us (sw) would be 18-50p per week , fenced is upper end good grass , fescue unfenced lower end .

Suckler cattle .all grass is resown every 5 years cattle all housed October to april

Can you not just find someone with more sheep, or split the land between 2 graziers if it’s well fenced?

so your looking to maximise income rather than management ? any grazing is location dependant , mind plenty will offer more but their management is critical , you dont want dead left about etc ,Find someone reputable even at a cheaper rate you often find the best graziers offer lower rates because everyone wants them for a no hassle winter
