Congratulations to our lucky winner Ben Taylor who took part in the CPM/Bayer survey on winter wheat weed control and has won the fabulous prize of an Arc’teryx Beta AR Jacket worth £480. Ben responded to the survey and completed the tie-breaker question which asked participants to describe their weed control nightmare. His answer: “Ranks of black grass like soldiers, cleavers advancing over the battlefield like slow motion cannon balls and with blood red poppies marking the death of the gross margin”, impressed the judges by giving such a in depth, poetic description of weed control, with the military references reflecting the potential severity of weed pressures. The aim of the survey was to delve deeper into weed control in winter wheat. To take part in the next survey, make sure we have your correct details by emailing [email protected]
