Best way to go about wiring a second beacon on my 6810? Not sure how John Deere would do it. Whether they run wiring back down to the fuse or cut and splice into the existing wiring. Advice please

The Best way would be to wire in a relay for two beacons, the original wiring was designed for only one afaik.
In saying that, if it's Led beacons your using you can work away, they have a low working amperage.

If Its two bulb style beacons your looking to fit then you might be overloading the std wiring.

A flashing beacon including the small motor has about a 5A draw, 2 of them will be 10A, I can't say for sure if you'd be overloading the wires at 10A but iirc the beacon wires aren't too big on the jd.

Just splitting the original wires would be OK if you only have them on for short periods but on nearly all day would create some heat.

Loads of others will have just split the wires and they will be here shortly I'm sure but you asked about the best way and that I'd be running a separate supply wire to the roof space, wiring in a relay and use the beacon switch wires to operate it.
