wiring woes

Good evening all,
was hoping one of you might guide me in the right direction here please.

if its any way dodgey I wont even attempt it as I don't want to blow the alternator.

I have a hella 4 pin male aux socket that comes as standard in a NH TM tractor.
Now I want to fit a new 3 pin socket to replace the hella 4 pin male aux socket.
Reason being I have a set of led work lights and an electric switch that turns macerator on/off that I want to hook up to the tractor but the plugs on these 2 implements are both D 3 pin plugs. (well if i got one of them working id be happy).

I see 4 wires (2 black & 2 purple/light blue) wired into the hella 4 pin aux socket. Can I fit the D3 pin plug instead of the hella aux socket?

4 wires on the hella aux socket but only 3 in the new 3d socket i bought.

Pictures attached might explain it better.

Thanks for reading.

Now Then..
Personally, I would have a fresh wire straight from the battery via a 30 amp fuse to the large positive terminal. Wire the earth in similar large gauge wire. Then assuming one of the small purple wires is live with the key, put that to the small terminal.
Usually the large live is live all the time, you could fit a relay if you wanted it to go off with the key.
JD implement control boxes use the small terminal to turn them on hence being key live.
Your current small wiring doesn't look big enough to deliver the 30A usually associated with the D type plug..
