Workshop lights

I have got a grain store which I use a couple of bays as a workshop in the winter can anyone recommend some good lights to put up in the roof which give good light to work on machinery

Ive got a halogen light mounted on the top of a 6 foot and 8 foot tall inch box upright which i move around deepending where i want the light.got 4 of these. And they very handy.got the inch box mounted on an old disc so very stable aswell.

It depends on the height. I'd go for fluorescents at low level, low bays at mid and high bays if you're really high.

You'll get loads of folks saying to go for LEDs but I'm not sure they are quite good enough, and the light can be quite harsh. They are instant which may be a factor.

I want t try and get away from halogen lights as the bulbs seem to be forever going in the ones we have now have looked into led but don't think I would get enough light from them

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
