World-beating

For those, and there are many, who fall over themselves defending the government’s performance, how do you defend Britain now having the worst infection rate per million in the world.
That has nothing to do with size of country, it has to do with infectivity (yes) but I would say most with crap policy.

Ah! The famous world-beating (at least in cost that's true) testing system.

Congratulations for being the first to line up to support this government's truly world-beating performance.

On a par with the excuse of the barman on the Titanic that 'we're just stopping to load some more ice for the drinks'

Is this all Governments fault or is some of it to do with people that ignore advice, rule, regulation and law?

On a bad day I would say yes it is
If they were different they might motivate people to be more atruistic
But at the very least they could try being honest
(Stupid of me, the PM is Johnson and his whole life is built on lying)

Hello...the virus is spread by folks not observing social distancing and not staying at home.....hello.....the virus is not spread by government agents.
If you want to blame the gov for something, I think they've wasted too much time and money on track and trace, and too much on furloughing. A firm stay the f**k at home policy would have been the cheapest and best. Really pished off with these holiday ads on TV ATM. FFS.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hmm. No doubt Government should have done things differently or better but I suspect your absolute dislike of Johnson may colour your opinion somewhat

Honestly? Yes, sickened by Johnson's performance and behaviour over at least the last two decades I would say it would be extremely hard for me to not regard everything he does and says as wrong, but compared with the leadership of other countries and their avoidance of tub-thumping and treating the population as a rabble that needs to be roused I think Johnson (and this government - and this country's mainstream media) is a rubbish and untrustworthy leader.

Johnson is the leader we've got. So suck it up and stop bitching about something you have no control over.
And obey the rules.
Had to suck up a fekkin Labour government enough in my lifetime and still come out the other side. Not to mention the baaastard EU.

It is what it is!! We all know the incompetence has cost billions but cataloguing the litany of failures is best left to the public inquiry which, I believe, Johnson has promised.
Politically the one law for us another for you is standard for these feckers, no one should be surprised.

Oh FFS! This government has not shown any leadership in any direction. They have shown themselves to be totally inept in all departments. If it was the army and the officers s aid “well chaps we’re thinking about advancing but we’re not sure until you tell us which direction “ you’d not have a lot of faith. But the numpties here seem to think Boris is wonderful.

Do you really need leadership to do the right thing?

Really?
I think I had to untill a few days ago.
Same as I'm sucking up this pee poor Tory administration at the moment.
I see you're from a very Anglo saxon part of the World but I have this vision of Dave Allen doing his very best Rev paisley "Nooo Suuureeeender" impersonation as a sort of emulation of your life under EU tyranny. You came out unscathed though I'm pleased to record

Who’s bitching?
Calling a spade a spade and in the case of Johnson he is a lying c..t
And I don’t need you to tell me to obey the rules
I would anyway but with a son on immuno suppressants I really don’t need nor want such a smug throwaway comment

Or simply more people insisting on their 'right' to be going on holiday,
Or is it our national obsession with centralisation of goods and services because it's 'more efficient to have all your shopping done under one roof' a la Tesco
Or is it more efficient that people commute long distance to work, then come home up north to the family and spread it.
Or people's right to have a second home in the country (where it was safe)

There are many factors affecting the virus. One thing for sure though, it's only spread by people.

Yup it is simple. Only people can stop the spread not the government or politicians

The policy in Britain is set by more than one government.
The rise in infection of late is down to the new varient isn't it
If your going to start a thread to have a go at Boris you should have said England, Britain you have to include other idiots
