The total numpty that designed the ramp holder section on Ifor Williams trailers,. Bugger me unless you get them spot on lined up they are a total bugger, ofcourse that's easy when it's cold and wet or they are covered in mud ,

The person that designed the pens at Huntly Mart, mustve known they would never have to work there.

The person that numbered the pens at Lairg mart, must've gone to the pub half way through got totally shitmarak then came back and finished.

Pto guards, specifically the tiny little chain to stop the guard rotating that snaps within hours of starting actual work.

The price of these things, they should be better
why cant they be removable, grease the gubbins, put back on
take seconds to do, rather than an interminable amount of time I'll never get back and involving contortions I'm not fit for

Just enlarge the grease hole in the guard, that's what I do with a decent sized hole cutter in a drill, its simple and then no excuse for not greasing them!!! minutes work saves hours of time over the life of the machine and even more time when you have to replace the Hardy Spicer mid work

Also, halogen light fittings.

The tiny screw to hold the lens in, why can’t they use brass or stainless. Instead they use mild steel that by the time the first bulb has blown, the screw will have corroded to such an extent that it’s impossible to remove it.

This results (in my case anyway) that you smash hell out of the barsteward in the end, then have to tape the sorry remnants back together complete with the new bulb.

Whoever designed my case 895xl (most tractors are probably like that though) and thought it was a good idea to run hydraulic and brake pipes under the cab should have been shot. Fine on new stuff but when they get to 20+ year old and start to rub and leak you can't reach them 🤬
Just had to replace a brake pipe on this tractor and it went down from the master cylinders on the top of the engine by the cab, down the side of the cab under the cab crossed over the gearbox turns to go over the diesel tank and through all the gear linkages and back into the gearbox near the axle in an almost impossible place to put a spanner on. Had to cut it to get it out it was impossible to remove otherwise without taking the cab off 🤦‍♂️ replaced it with a flexible hydraulic hose which will no doubt be rubbing on something I can't see.
It could have been run down one side of the tractor and cross over at the back on top of the axle just as tidy and much easier to get at. Why cross over under the cab ffs.
I'm sure there are lots more examples of this but thars what I've been doing this morning :cautious:

The locking handle for the ramp/door on the ifor with decks, always a battle getting it unlocked before you can flatten the ramp before shutting the door, there’s got to be a better way.

Don't even get me started ....
John Deere 5820 door latch made for giant handed folk and the lever for shifting steering wheel or what I call it the knee buster.
The CNH thought It was a good idea to put the engine oil filter on UPSIDE DOWN in their Case farmall range....oh and only reachable after removing a pipe and the two fuel filters!
Recently replaced the Bowden cable for the PUH on my fendt 313 after four hours I was ready to fly to Germany and slap whoever designed the blasted thing... 🤬🤬🤬

could you not as you replace them ,....route them in the better position as you say ?is is there a reason why that cant be done now?

In fact A lot of things need a bit of a 'tweak' :sneaky: to make them more user /maintenance friendly.. from how they were originally built .
