I am not saying that automatic stop/start is a bad thing but forgetting to switch it off has nearly killed me several times.
Some of the junctions in the Westcountry donkey tracks/lanes have almost no visibility of traffic approaching from the sides and when you pull out you really need to get on with it or you will be T-boned. Having the engine suddenly decide to cut out at just the wrong moment is terrifying!

Reverse gear is also too fast for a trailer, i always used to drop it into lo, now it just burns the clutch as it takes too long to go in, and sometimes just wont
