Would it be likely a landowner would be interested in selling a portion of their land which seems to not be getting interest?

Something for 100k I saw. I noticed it was already reduced from 120. It has been over a month and do not see it as sold. It is wild uplands so doubt in much demand from average farmer and pony paddack crowd.

If being sold via an agent is it likely the seller would be interested in percelling it off? As in would that be a lot of work for them such that it is not worth their time?

The area seems fantastic for my purposes but 100 would be way out of reach for me. Wonder if a proposition to sell half would be of any interest to seller.

Would they have to do surveying and other legal stuff? Wanting to see if it is worth asking or not.

Is there road access to both 'halves'?
Are you wanting the best half, leaving vendor with something less useful?
Ask but be prepared for a simple No.
£100k used to be a lot of money but many cars are £50k now, I'm told. :(

No idea, haven't looked deeply into yet since I had deemed it out of reach thus far.

Yes 100 is chump change probably when talking of land however there are the other factors noted - already reduced, probably not popular for most land buyers given it looks like mostly moorland.

12ac sold here in a matter of a couple of weeks for £250k with a 25 year overage clause on it, road access and backs onto a busy duel carriageway. Bonkers

It is usually easy to reduce the price. Not so easy to put it up. Some piece of apparently worthless land will have 'hope value', i.e. there's a possible increase in value in the future.

A month ago a farmer I know put up.two acres behind some houses for 175,000, part of the suggested uses was as a traveller site, it was sold in three days, won't need two guesses who bought it and it wasn't travellers 😂😂
