Would you buy a mulcher mower?

Have up on an acre of freshly seeded grass. Would you buy a mulcher mower and if what?

The thoughts of not having to collect the grass is very appealing but concerned about growth and not getting it cut often enough for a mulcher.

Mulching Deck all the way! I like the Husqvarna mowers, well built and do a grand job I think, full range of sizes, the big diesel is an absolute animal, and a cracking tool in a big garden:cool:

Other brands are available of course......:D

Better with one where you have the option , I've a Ferrari mower either collect or mulch , if it's continual mulch it grows too quick

lovely but what is it ,10 grand for mowing some lawn

Double that , list price....

I know it's a lotta money, but you'd get a fair chunk off that, but still probably 15k? Stuff like this, don't come cheap, whatever way you look at it.
Place I do some work at, bought one a few years ago, I test drove it and Was sitting with the owner when the deal was struck, but there was a mower traded in (a Walker, pile of rubbish, absolutely useless, iirc that was 14:eek:) it was hands down the best thing we did, so much faster, no grass to pick up, it's just awesome! They have/had a gardener once a week, and he can cut the lawn and then get on with other things if need be, before it was all he could do to get the lawn cut!

Downside is, you've gotta keep on top of the job, not let things get out of hand, but generally, does a lovely job, and doesn't leave a mark or trace of cut grass:cool:
And...keep the blades sharp(y)
