Incidents like this are doing farming no good at all, any new rules/ legislation will be down to a minority who do things like this.
Can't see how that tipped its not even loaded very high by most standards, but on a positive note it was strapped on
They can bring in as many rules and regs as they like you will never stop these things happening annoys me people keep saying it tbh look at the haulage industry full of red tape and rules and I’d not like to guess how many crashes involve wagons and lost loads etc, I know I quoted you but it’s not a pop at you personally 👍

Totally agree but incidents like this get the rule book made which they won't enforce until some jobs worth goes to town on some poor sod who's had one genuine accident in his lifetime and they'll crucify him.

Its not just about the rules its about having people with a mentality to obey the rules. Not just think "mweh it will be alright" or "its just a mile down the road so no need" etc. This isn't about age neither, I've seen young people with an attitude it won't happen to them because they are the greatest, and old people thinking it hasn't happened because I am the greatest so why do it differently. As long as people don't see the dangers and risks they are taking it won't change.

You seldom see a truck load of bales coming to grief.
Trailer sold as a bale trailer…..what’s the rated Max Loaded Weight?
Teleporter allows the Bales to be loaded to the full height to get under Phone and Leccy wires etc…
Height combined with weight results in a vastly increased load factor on one side of the vehicle when turning at any speed.
Springs and Wheels just not up to the job….paired with a let’s say enthusiastic driver…..the result is there to see.
Someone is going to end up serving a Prison sentence….deservedly…not only the driver but probably the employer as well.
BBC ran a three part series a week or two ago starring Sean Bean as a motorist who killed a cyclist whilst driving…
The programme covered his stay in Prison…..(The sheer Brutality of life behind bars was mind numbing)
Essential viewing for anyone contemplating risking their freedom.

Any accident could have been averted,

Anything can be done with the benefit of hindsight.
By definition, you are simply wrong.

Definition of accident

1a: an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance.Their meeting was an accident.
b: lack of intention or necessity : CHANCE They met by accident rather than by design.
2a: an unfortunate event resulting especially from carelessness or ignorance was involved in a traffic accident
bmedical : an unexpected and medically important bodily event especially when injuriousa cerebrovascular accident
claw : an unexpected happening causing loss or injury which is not due to any fault or misconduct on the part of the person injured but for which legal relief may be sought
dUS, informal —used euphemistically to refer to an uncontrolled or involuntary act or instance of urination or defecation (as by a baby or a pet)The puppy had an accident on the rug.

Unforeseen is not the same as unforeseeable. @grainboy is not wrong.

Unforeseen is not the same as unforeseeable but they are not mutually exclusive.
Everything everyone does has a risk. It doesn't require much of an unforeseen occurrence or a collective effect of foreseeable events to considerably effect the probability of that risk.

I think some accidents should have been averted but to say any accident can be averted is simply wrong. [Although technically correct with the use of hindsight]
