Was thinking a big enough one could stay off the bridge and reach over, but yes it is a risk. Could probably take the back few bales off with a grab before they started though, to lighten the load.

If they weren't loaded across trailer half of them would be in the river

its nice to load that way but it causes issues on lorrys as most farmers haven't got the reach to off load

Little,wonder when you consider the diameter and rolling radius of these big wheels, the inertia that’s involved to stop the rotation of them.

Wasn’t expecting it to shear off the brake shoes , pivot stubs are 2 1/2”

Looks like a hook loader trailer. If he was feeling brave he could unload the flatbed of bales and push himself out with the arm at the same time!?

This happened to one of my customers tractors this morning! Drunk driving come through a red light doing well in access of the 30 speed limit.

Wouldn’t mind but I’d only done the gearbox and axel bearing on it two weeks ago?

@Phil P Sorry it was your tractor, but so much better than a person - and you probably hvve him off the road for a year or so. Though is hurts - the world is a little better for you poor damaged tractor.

Not spoke to him directly but a lad who works for him called me not long after it happened, said he’s bruise and batter’d and was taken to hospital to be checked over bit should be fine.
As for the tractor! Loader and brackets are bent, rear fender gone, I’ve not been to inspect it yet but I’ve known loader brackets to twist the chassis when they get bent.

Not my tractor, belongs to a good customer of mine. He has 3 identical 6920’s (and a 6520) this was his favourite one though ?. I’ve got one of the others in the workshop for a couple of jobs at the moment but I think he’ll be wanting it back sharpish now?
